Dr. (Brig) Anil Kheterpal is a revered specialist in Transfusion Medicine, Immunohematology, and Clinical Pathology. Having served the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services for over three decades, holding the rank of Brigadier, Dr. Kheterpal brings immense administrative and clinical experience in blood banking, apheresis therapies, and hemovigilance. He has been instrumental in setting up ultra-modern, NABH-accredited blood centers in military and corporate hospitals. At Shalby Sanar International Hospital, he heads the Department of Blood Transfusion, ensuring 24/7 safe blood component availability, stringent infection screening, and advanced therapeutic apheresis for organ transplant and oncology patients.
Immunohematology & Blood Banking: Advanced blood group serology, rare antibody screening, cross-matching, and quality control of blood components.
Therapeutic Apheresis & Cell Separation: Plasmapheresis, therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), leukapheresis, and stem cell harvesting for transplant procedures.
Transfusion Safety & Hemovigilance: Implementation of Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) for pathogen screening and zero-error transfusion protocols.
Laboratory Quality Systems: Designing and auditing blood bank infrastructure in compliance with NABH and national drug control regulatory standards.
