Restoring blood flow and bringing energy back to your daily life.

Through every question, every opinion, every unfamiliar turn, Shifara Health’s experts guide you with care.

You should never face this alone.

Experiencing chest discomfort or learning that your coronary arteries are narrowed can be deeply unsettling. Choosing to undergo angioplasty is a vital step toward restoring healthy blood flow and protecting your heart. Shifara Health exists so that this critical decision—and the process of receiving care in India—is never a journey you have to take alone.

What is Angioplasty & Stent Placement?

Coronary angioplasty (also known as Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, or PCI) is a minimally invasive procedure used to open narrowed or blocked coronary arteries. A long, thin tube (catheter) is threaded through an artery in the wrist or groin to the site of the blockage. A small balloon is then inflated to widen the artery and compress the plaque against the artery wall.

In most cases, a tiny wire mesh tube called a stent—typically a modern drug-eluting stent (DES)—is permanently placed to keep the artery open and reduce the risk of it narrowing again. India’s leading cardiac centers perform these procedures every day in state-of-the-art catheterization (cath) labs. They are led by internationally recognized interventional cardiologists who use advanced imaging technologies such as IVUS and OCT for exceptional precision.

Why opt for Angioplasty & Stents in India?

India’s leading cardiac institutions offer world-class catheterization labs without the long waiting times or prohibitive costs often associated with treatment in many Western or regional healthcare systems. International patients receive FDA-approved, high-quality drug-eluting stents implanted by experienced specialists who perform thousands of interventions each year. This allows patients to receive prompt, advanced cardiac care at a fraction of the cost, supported by exceptional nursing and recovery services.
